simon lyddiard

I’ve worn down a set of vintage 67mm T-Bones in the last six months of filming and trying to keep up with Simon. It’s not just the speed either - he likes rough terrain.

Bombing hills into oncoming traffic, cutting barbwire fences and escaping police dogs are just a few of the situations I’ve found myself in with Simon.

That’s the thing about him; he has a really contagious work ethic. His vision of how he wants his tricks is so clear that he’ll do anything to get them. He’ll cut a rail with an angle grinder in the dead of night, come back a few days later to find it welded back into place, then snap the spot-welds with his bare hands rather than go home empty handed (true story).

As told by James Turvey, Sept 2014.
